We went to the beach

Yesterday we went to the beach. We spent hours exploring the beautiful shorelines of Umhlanga. We walked far beyond the popular tourist area to the nearest lagoon. 

Unfortunately Avery and Heather were not prepared for the heat of the South African sun and quickly turned bright shades of red. 

We escaped the sun to do some bird watching and drink coffee. We saw our first wildlife on the trip as well!

After we were done with the birds, monkeys and coffee we took off for our first night in St.Lucia. 

When we first arrived we discovered all the animals we need to watch out for and did some exploring on the board walk.

We got to meet all our new international friends last night. What an amazing group of people we get to spend the next week with! We spent some time relaxing on bean bag chairs getting to know each other and listening to our group elders (who Kat was one of).
